1. The game
Playing is free and stays that way for now. Should the server costs run away with us, a yearly contribution or advertising may come along with it; we will say so well beforehand.
De Kentekenspotter is a game, not a service to build on: no result comes with it and nothing is promised about the outcome.
2. Your account
You make one account for yourself, with a name you want to be seen under and an e-mail address that is yours. Your password stays yours alone; whatever happens on your account happens in your name.
3. Playing fair
Only log what you saw yourself, on the day you saw it. Making observations up, having them entered automatically or playing with several accounts is not part of the game.
Where cheating repeats, we may undo observations or close an account.
4. What you contribute
Report a missing Kreis or send us a correction, and we may use and publish it in the game. Without your name attached: we put that nowhere on the public site.
5. The scoreboard
The scoreboard is visible to signed-in players only. If you would rather not appear on it, switch your visibility off on your settings screen; you can carry on playing all the same.
6. Stopping
You can stop at any moment and delete your account on your settings screen. We may close an account in case of abuse, of cheating, or when the game comes to an end.
7. Changes
These terms may change as the game changes. The date at the top of this page says when that last happened; where it concerns something substantial, we will let you know.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law.
